The Vista Meridian Meridian Eagles couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Magnolia Science Academy on Tuesday, falling 54-6.
Magnolia Science Academy found their leader in underclassman Elvira Chavez Trujillo, who scored 42 points.
Vista Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Magnolia Science Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vista Meridian will challenge Samueli Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Magnolia Science Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Southlands Christian at 5:00 p.m. on December 6th.
