Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for South Pontotoc, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Lafayette will square off against Choctaw Central at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Choctaw Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lafayette in Mississippi (Choctaw Central is ranked 28th, while Lafayette is ranked 89th). As for South Pontotoc, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Itawamba Agricultural at 7:00 p.m.
