On Friday, St. Anthony made easy work of Salesian and carried off an 11-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jason Glenn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Owen Frazier was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Laguna Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. Christian Sigaty was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Laguna Hills saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Medina, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Laguna Hills' loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for St. Anthony, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Laguna Hills' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: St. Anthony hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316.
