PLYMOUTH, Minn. -
Connor Wilkie threw for four touchdowns as
Andover (Minn.) defeated Robbinsdale Armstrong (Plymouth, Minn.) 50-14 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Derek McLaughlin in the first quarter, the Huskies were up 33-0 at the half.
Andover grew its lead to 43 points entering the fourth quarter. AHS scored three times in the third, including once on a Wilkie touchdown pass to
Chris Larson.
Wilkie and Larson were an excellent passing duo during the game. Larson caught three touchdowns and Wilkie threw four. Larson has now caught three touchdowns this season, while Wilkie has thrown 18.
Coming into the game the Huskies had allowed 20.0 points per game this year.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 33-14 win for Andover.
The victory was a step in the right direction for AHS, which was coming off a 16-7 defeat at the hands of Park Center in its previous game. The win broke Andover's three-game losing streak.
