Hamilton and Biggs are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2021, but likely not for long. The Braves will square off against the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Biggs likes a good challenge.
On Friday, Hamilton got the win against Williams by a conclusive 21-1.
Dylan Joksch was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
Hamilton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of 16 wins, Biggs' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maxwell.
Collin Beck and Brayden Martin did some serious damage despite the final result: Beck went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, while Martin went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Martin has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Hamilton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.4 runs over those games. As for Biggs, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 17-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hamilton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Biggs struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Hamilton suffered a grim 16-2 defeat to Biggs when the teams last played back in March. Can the Braves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
