The Redding Christian Lions fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Quincy Trojans on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. If Redding Christian was looking for revenge after losing 47-41 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Quincy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tatum Hughes out in front who scored 14 points. Shelby Nussle was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Redding Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Quincy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Chester the next time they take the court. Redding Christian will host the Volcanoes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Trojans will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
