The Windsor Locks Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Canton Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Saturday, Windsor Locks narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Old Saybrook 6-5.
Noah Cartagena was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cartagena was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

| 04/15/26 vs Cheney Tech | 3 |
| 03/29/25 @ Holyoke | 3 |
| 05/11/26 @ Somers | 2 |
| 05/16/25 vs Academy of Science and Innovation | 2 |
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zavier Hunt, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Carter Sweatt also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Canton's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Somers on Saturday. Everything went the Warriors' way against Stafford as they made off with a 13-5 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
Like Windsor Locks, Canton also got a great game from a two-way player: Oden Berg. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Berg is becoming a predictor of Canton's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is undefeated (and 5-10 when he doesn't). Berg was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Wyatt Bernabucci and Nate Cowenhoven did most of the damage at the plate: Bernabucci went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Cowenhoven got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Cowenhoven has become a key player for Canton: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-9 otherwise. Kyle Hiscox was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one run.
Canton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stafford only posted an OBP of .290.
Windsor Locks' win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11. As for Canton, their record now sits at 8-10.
Windsor Locks might still be hurting after the 21-8 defeat they got from Canton in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
