The matchup between St. Joseph Notre Dame and Piedmont on Friday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. St. Joseph Notre Dame was beaten by Piedmont 72-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss St. Joseph Notre Dame has suffered yet this season.
Meanwhile, Lick-Wilmerding can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Urban 68-33 on the road. Lick-Wilmerding's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lauryn Lacap and Hailey Moy were among the main playmakers for Lick-Wilmerding as the former scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals and the latter scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amaya Tavu, who scored ten points along with three steals.
St. Joseph Notre Dame's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 9-8. As for Lick-Wilmerding, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
