Jackson Haddad was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Evan Vessey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Brady Cortez was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.
Everett Alvarez's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-12. As for Monte Vista Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 18-5.
