The Trinity Prep Crusaders will head out on the road to take on the Rio Lindo Adventist Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Trinity Prep put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy 53-22 on the road. Trinity Prep's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rio Lindo Adventist beat St. Helena 49-43 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rio Lindo Adventist.
Rio Lindo Adventist's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Belen Hernandez, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Hernandez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaia Miller, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Trinity Prep's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
