San Jacinto Valley Academy is 6-1 against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. San Jacinto Valley Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
While San Jacinto Valley Academy's victory against Temecula Prep wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolves never let the Patriots get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.
The result came thanks to Martin Morando's shutout, as he gave up just five hits.

At the plate, San Jacinto Valley Academy's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Canon Fletcher, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Fletcher is becoming a predictor of the Wolves' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 5-8 when he doesn't).
Meanwhile, Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School entered their tilt with Desert Christian Academy last Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Conquerors.
Luke Ludwig was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
In other batting news, Sean Bender was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Bodhi Duenas was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
San Jacinto Valley Academy pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. San Jacinto Valley Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went San Jacinto Valley Academy's way against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School in their previous matchup back in March, as San Jacinto Valley Academy made off with an 18-9 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
