Shaw dropped down to 4-6 on Wednesday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost  15-5 to the Callaway Cavaliers. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
  Michayla Bledsoe was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 3-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Alexis McClain also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
As for Callaway,  the  win snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 2-6 record. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous   match.
On Callaway's side,  Mackenzie Toney made a splash no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Toney was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in September of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Ryleigh Seymour was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with three  runs and three  RBI.  Payson Phillips was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shaw will take on Carver at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Callaway, they will be playing at home against Pike County  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. This will  be the Cavaliers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
