Farwell will face off against Marion at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Farwell barely beat Coleman the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Comets a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The Eagles have beaten the Comets the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Comets has come to flipping the script.

Conner Cousineau made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Farwell is 5-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 9-16 otherwise. Cousineau was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hunter Edlin and Asher Yarhouse did most of the damage at the plate: Edlin went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Yarhouse got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Yarhouse is becoming a predictor of Farwell's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 10-17 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Esterline, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Farwell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Marion made sure to put some runs up on the board against Traverse City Christian on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Sabres 11-3. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by eight runs or more this season.
Farwell's win bumped their record up to 14-18. As for Marion, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Farwell came out on top in a nail-biter against Marion when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 9-7. Will Farwell repeat their success, or does Marion has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
