The Troy Trojans came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 67-33 victory over Wyalusing Valley. Troy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 26 points or more this season.
Troy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kailyn Sterling, who scored 17 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Giana Renzi, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Troy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Wyalusing Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Troy will head out on the road to face off against Williamson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Williamson is on a four-game streak of home wins, Troy a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Wyalusing Valley will take on Sayre at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Sayre is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
