The Corry Beavers will head out on the road to take on the Franklin Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Corry is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Corry suffered their biggest defeat yet this season two weeks ago. They were outmatched by Erie on the road and fell 67-24. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Corry has suffered against Erie since February 12, 2018.
Meanwhile, Franklin didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Oil City on Monday, but they still walked away with a 42-37 win.
Franklin can attribute much of their success to Jennifer Blum, who scored 12 points along with two steals, and Katie Boal, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Boal is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Stevens, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Corry's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Franklin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Corry lost to Franklin on the road by a decisive 29-13 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Corry avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
