The McNair Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Bear Creek Bruins at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully McNair focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Monday.
Last Monday, McNair was able to grind out a solid win over Chavez, taking the game 58-50. The victory was just what McNair needed coming off of a 88-26 defeat in their prior game.
Kalysa Phanhsavang continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Malia Do, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Bear Creek's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. They fell 46-38 to Edison. Bear Creek has not had much luck with Edison recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
McNair has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season. As for Bear Creek, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.
McNair didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bear Creek in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 69-63 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for McNair since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
