It was a good run, but the Annenberg Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 27-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central City Value. Annenberg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central City Value apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Central City Value was led to victory by Elise Logan and Ruby Pacheco. Logan scored eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals, while Pacheco dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Pacheco hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games.
Annenberg's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Central City Value, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Annenberg will face off against Downtown Magnets at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central City Value, they will head out on the road to take on Animo Bunche at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
