Pittsburg's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackie Martinez, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Malia Fonongaloa, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
The victory got Antioch back to even at 13-13. As for Pittsburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
Antioch will head out on the road to challenge Foothill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Foothillpresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Antioch in California (Foothill is ranked 177th, while Antioch is ranked 456th). Pittsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
