After losing to the Woodcreek Timberwolves the last time they met, the Grant Pacers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Grant managed a 54-50 win over Woodcreek on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Grant.
Grant got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Keyara Lopa out in front who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Lopa is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalaysia Clements, who scored ten points.
Grant's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Woodcreek, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Grant will be playing at home against River City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while Grant is ranked 105th). Woodcreek's road trip will continue as they head out to face Antelope at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd. Antelope is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
