Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clearfield). They snuck past the Penns Valley Area Rams with a 74-68 win on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bison also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.
Clearfield was led to victory by Sonny Diehl and Hannah Glunt. Diehl dropped a double-double on 31 points and 22 boards, while Glunt almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Glunt a new career-high in steals (six). Myleigh Hudson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season.
Clearfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 11 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Penns Valley Area's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances.
