The Olympian Eagles won the last time they faced the Calexico Bulldogs, and things went their way on Saturday too. Olympian came out on top against Calexico by a score of 59-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for Olympian.
Asia Darcuiel was her usual excellent self, as she made all 7 shots she took from beyond the arc racking up 38 points and 1 assists. The matchup was her 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Lewis, who scored eight points.
Olympian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Calexico, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
Olympian is on the road again on Saturday and play against Hoover at 1:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Calexico and Santana will face off at 1:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Santana will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1182nd, while Calexico is ranked 500th).
