The Lanesboro Burros fell victim to the Kingsland Knights''s stalwart defense on Tuesday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Knights, falling 46-0. While losing is never fun, Lanesboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Kingsland is ranked first).
Beau Wiersma continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kingsland, rushing for 194 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Wiersma was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards. Sam Howard got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Lanesboro are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.3 points per game. As for Kingsland, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Lanesboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kingsland is also done with their season.
