The Rochelle Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 46-37 to Brookesmith. Rochelle was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Brookesmith apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brookesmith to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jase Moreno, who scored 17 points. Adyn Ribble was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Rochelle's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Brookesmith, they have been performing well recently as they've won 17 of their last 20 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
Rochelle will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lometa at 7:15 p.m. Lometa is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Brookesmith, they will head out on the road to challenge Richland Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
