Oroville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Lower Lake Trojans at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Oroville had to settle for a 42-40 defeat against Paradise.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Serenity Miller, who scored ten points along with three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rachel Bone, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Oroville were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Lower Lake was the victim of a tough 43-22 defeat at the hands of Kelseyville on Monday. Lower Lake has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Oroville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lower Lake, they bumped their record down to 4-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Oroville was able to grind out a solid victory over Lower Lake when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 40-31. Does Oroville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lower Lake turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
