The Azusa Aztecs can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Workman with points to spare, taking the game 39-20. The win was just what Azusa needed coming off of a 47-25 defeat in their prior contest.
Among those leading the charge was Evelin Villalva, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Tanisha Rentereia, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Azusa's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-15. As for Workman, they dropped their record down to 3-23 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Azusa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Workman also has no future games currently scheduled.
