Harris County is a perfect 8-0 against Griffin since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Harris County Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Griffin Bears at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Harris County has three straight victories, Griffin has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
While Harris County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Jonesboro 14-1 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Daejeon Elder made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Colt Angel was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Ashton Herring was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Harris County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Griffin came up short against Northside on Friday and fell 8-3. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by exactly five runs.
Griffin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jymarion Street, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Street brought in this season.
Harris County pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Griffin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
Griffin's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Harris County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330. It's a different story for Griffin, though, as they've only averaged .169. Will they be able to contain Harris County's hitters?
Everything went Harris County's way against Griffin in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, as Harris County made off with a 19-0 victory. Will Harris County repeat their success, or does Griffin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
