Laura Evans made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played.
In other batting news, Ansley Simpson was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Wildes, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Crisp Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fullington Academy only managed six hits.
Crisp Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Fullington Academy, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
