New Creation Christian Academy's game  last Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They blew past the Unity Christian Lions 18-8. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six  runs or more this season.
 Nolan Hyde made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Hunter Googe was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  RBI (three).  Brody Johnson was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run.
New Creation Christian Academy is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.7 runs over those games. Unity Christian's defeat was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 3-7.
 New Creation Christian Academy and Unity Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  matchups. The next time New Creation Christian Academy sees the field they'll take on CrossPointe Christian Academy  at 5:00  p.m.  on April 14. As for Unity Christian, their break will end when they face Hearts Academy  at 5:30  p.m.  on April 8.
