At the plate, Evan Rodriguez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Quentin McGahan, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
Simi Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moorpark only posted a batting average of .091.
Meanwhile, while Royal put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Camarillo. Royal sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over Camarillo. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Highlanders have posted against the Scorpions since March 3, 2023.

On the hitting side, Royal saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Visage, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Simi Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Royal, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
