Cherry is 10-0 against the grizzlies since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Cherry Tigers will head out on the road to take on the North Woods grizzlies at 7:00 p.m.
After soaring to 59 points the game before, Cherry were a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They were dealt a 83-17 defeat at the hands of Mountain Iron-Buhl. Cherry has struggled against the Rangers recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
In what's become a running theme this season, North Woods gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 74-49 margin over Hill City/Northland. The victory was nothing new for North Woods as they're now sitting on three straight.
Cherry's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for North Woods, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Everything went Cherry's way against the grizzlies in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 as the Tigers made off with a 66-46 victory. Will Cherry repeat their success, or do the grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
