There's no place like home for the Independence 76ers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 46-33 win over Mt. Pleasant on Thursday. The win was just what Independence needed coming off of a 56-34 loss in their prior contest.
Jodi Regondola was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Abigail Villanueva was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Independence pushed their record up to 9-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Mt. Pleasant, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Independence will head out on the road to face off against Live Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Live Oak's defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so Independence's offense will have their work cut out for Independence. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gunderson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
