Redding Christian hasn't had much luck against Los Molinos recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions will take on the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Redding Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Weed 14-6 on Wednesday. The Lions not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18th.
Garrett Webb made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, Conner Moore was incredible, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Josh Price was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Redding Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Los Molinos came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Falcons as they made off with a 15-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Los Molinos' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Redding Christian, their record is now 4-5.
Redding Christian couldn't quite finish off Los Molinos in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
