The Design Tech Dragons's game back in December of 2023 was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 44-33 win over The Nueva School. The team ran away with 34 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.
Design Tech was led to victory by Jewel Wilson and Emerson "Emi" LaPedis. Wilson scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while LaPedis scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Wilson has scored at least 25% of Design Tech's points. Another player making a difference was Eve Casile, who scored eight points.
Design Tech's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for The Nueva School, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Design Tech will take on San Francisco Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Nueva School won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kehillah at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th.
