The Payson Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Orem for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-15 victory at home. That 49 points margin sets a new team best for Payson this season.
Payson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cheznie Roundy, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Oaklie Jackman, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Payson and bumps their season record up to 6-7. As for Orem, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Payson will head out on the road to take on Provo at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Orem, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Uintah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Uintah focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
