Nuview Bridge extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 10-8-1. They came up short against the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers, falling 18-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on Tuesday.

Tobias Olague made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Nuview Bridge: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-7-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ethen Rivera, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
As for Santa Rosa Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.
On Santa Rosa Academy's side, Logan Ledesma made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. What's more, Ledesma posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Santa Rosa Academy got a massive performance out of Brayden Gosy, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave Gosy a new career-high. Luke Hamilton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
