While Olympian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the San Diego Cavers on Thursday as the Olympian Eagles made off with an 8-1 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

Olympian got a big performance out of Josh Rodriguez, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Tristan Ong was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Olympian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in eight consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Olympian's record is now 5-1-1. As for San Diego, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympian will be taking part in a tournament against Canyon Hills at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Olympian is facing Canyon Hills at the right time seeing as Canyon Hills is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for San Diego, they will challenge Rich Township at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
