It was a proper cat-fight when Triumph Charter challenged Lakeview Charter on Monday. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 17-8 margin over the Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Jaguars have posted against the Lions since May 24, 2019.

Javier Herrera was a standout: he got on base in five of his six plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Meanwhile, Valley Oaks CES was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against Valor Academy, falling 20-5.
Justin Rendon was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Triumph Charter is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Valley Oaks CES, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Triumph Charter has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .496. However, it's not like Valley Oaks CES struggles in that department as they've averaged .543. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Triumph Charter took their win against Valley Oaks CES in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 20-9 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
