Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Brookstone walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Brennan Neal spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up ten Ks.
At the plate, Mercer Hudson was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Lowery, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Brookstone's victory bumped their record up to 26-6. As for Tattnall Square Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 24-8.
