It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Franklin had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Folsom Bulldogs as they made off with an 11-2 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Tyler Cody made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.
In other pitching news, Franklin got a great performance from Dylan Wood as he struck out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts Wood has posted since back in April.
