Basketball Game Preview: Adelanto Saints vs. Silverado Hawks

Adelanto is 0-10 against Silverado since February of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. The Adelanto Saints will look to defend their home court against the Silverado Hawks at 5:30 p.m. Adelanto has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 193 points over their last three games.

Adelanto is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Granite Hills: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Adelanto blew Granite Hills out of the water with a 62-16 final score. With that win, the Saints brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.

Adelanto's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sierra Lamberth, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 boards. Lamberth has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Tamia Jones was another key player, going 5 of 9 on her way to 13 points.

Adelanto was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Silverado played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 77-47 loss at the hands of Diamond Bar. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-19.

Adelanto has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Silverado, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Adelanto lost to Silverado at home by a decisive 74-57 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Adelanto, Elizabeth Udeze (who posted 33 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
