The biggest upset of the week belonged to Chaska, who took down 26th ranked Academy of Holy Angels, 51-14.
Chanhassen moved up to 55 from 90 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Missota. The Storm climbed the ranks as a result of a 28-3 win over Farmington.
Chanhassen's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ryan McGuire threw for 47 and two touchdowns and Jared Lea had 50 yards receiving. On the ground Nathan Johnson chipped in 118 yards.
Chaydon O'fallon made the biggest impact on defense this week as Shakopee lost to New Prague. The 6-foot-2 defensive lineman forced one fumble, recorded one fumble and grabbed 1.5 sacks.
Nick Larson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Sabers fell to the Trojans. He completed two passes for 43 yards and also ran for 100 yards. Larson's favorite target this week was Austen Leadstrom, who caught one pass for 34 yards.
Chanhassen's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Storm feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. McGuire has thrown for 562 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Lea has 20 catches for 385 yards. Johnson leads the league in rushing with 617 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Tigers take on the Stars. At the moment, Farmington is in first, while Academy of Holy Angels is in fourth.
There should be lots of points scored when the Storm and Shakopee face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Chanhassen comes in having scored 144 this season, while Jody Stone's team has scored 133. The Storm scored 28 points last week as they defeated Mark Froehling's team.
The Hawks took down Ray Betton's team 51-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
