Basketball Recap: Foshay Skates Past Stella High Charter Academy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Foshay). They blew past the Stella High Charter Academy Eagles, posting a 53-8 win. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Foshay had a senior duo take command as Aunisha Clark posted 22 points and Kelis Jones put up 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clark has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelica Calidonio, who had six points.

Foshay's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 15.8 points per game. As for Stella High Charter Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Foshay will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Horace Mann UCLA Community at 3:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Foshay's defense has only allowed 24 points per game this season, so Horace Mann UCLA Community's offense will have their work cut out for them.
