The Analy Tigers lost against the Cardinal Newman Cardinals back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Analy was beaten by Cardinal Newman 80-21. Analy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-10.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Analy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Analy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Cardinal Newman, the win was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Analy will square off against Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Analy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Thursday. As for Cardinal Newman, they will head out on the road to face off against Ukiah at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Cardinal Newman's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 21 matchups.
