Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for South Fayette

South Fayette put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Taylor Allderdice Dragons by a score of 59-50. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Dragons are ranked 196th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lukas Stead, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Stead is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Asher Schwartz, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points and four steals.

South Fayette's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Taylor Allderdice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

South Fayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-34 victory against Bethel Park on the 17th. As for Taylor Allderdice, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-47 win against Pine-Richland on the 18th.
