Sadly, Trey Bauer posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Horseshoe Bend over Salmon River on Friday. Bauer rushed for 251 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 61 yards.

Maxon Yearsley posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He picked up 183 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 92 yards.
On the year, Yearsley has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 91 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to six.

Council Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Owen Hatfield
Owen Hatfield's big game helped extend Council's winning streak to five on Friday. Hatfield's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 183 rushing yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making seven total tackles.
For the season, Hatfield has averaged 202.9 rushing yards per game.

Jace Waggoner's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his fourth-straight game with 168+ rushing yards. He rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 118 yards on only six passes.
Tri-Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Waggoner and Tri-Valley will look to defend their home field on Friday against Horseshoe Bend at 7:00 p.m.
