The Don Lugo Conquistadores's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. 2024 welcomed they with a  52-29 loss courtesy of Covina.
 When it comes to explaining why Don Lugo lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Sarah Magadan. Despite the final result, she  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 11  rebounds. Those 11  rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
 Don Lugo has  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost seven of their last nine matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Covina, their victory bumped their record up to 2-13.
 Don Lugo will be playing in front of their home fans against Baldwin Park at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Covina, they will head out on the road to face off against The Webb Schools at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in California (The Webb Schools is ranked 1027th, while Covina is ranked 1015th).
