After flying high against the Mammoth Huskies last Friday, the Bishop Union Broncos came back down to earth. Bishop Union took a 40-22 bruising from the Roadrunners on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 57 points in the game before, Bishop Union couldn't push the score so high this time.
Bishop Union lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sienna Fuller, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Henny Charley, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
It was another big night for Ariel Cain, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds for Rosamond. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cain has scored at least a third of Rosamond's points. Abigail Cardoza was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Bishop Union's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Rosamond, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7.
Bishop Union will take on the Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Desert is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for Rosamond, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Boron is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
