The Chaminade Eagles's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with an 80-70 win over South Pasadena. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, South Pasadena still got an impressive performance from Dylan Tse, who scored 29 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Tse scored a full 41.4% of South Pasadena's points, the 16th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jamie Rain Kim, who scored 19 points.
Chaminade is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for South Pasadena, their loss dropped their record down to 14-2.
Chaminade's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Marlborough at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Marlborough has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests. As for South Pasadena, they will head out on the road to face off against Temple City at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Temple City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 471st, while South Pasadena is ranked 31st).
