The Bedford Bisons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clearfield. While losing is never fun, Bedford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while Clearfield is ranked 183rd).
Despite the loss, Bedford had strong showings from Rebekah Costal, who scored 18 points, and Kasey Shuke, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shuke has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Becker, who scored eight points.
Bedford has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Clearfield, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.
Bedford will head out on the road to challenge Greater Johnstown at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Clearfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bald Eagle Area at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
