Roxborough has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against Samuel Fels at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Roxborough is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Samuel Fels in Pennsylvania (Roxborough is ranked 202nd, while Samuel Fels is ranked 484th).
Last Monday, things could have been worse for Roxborough, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-36 loss to Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech.
The losing side was boosted by Jaylah Holmes, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Siaharr Simmons, who scored four points along with three steals and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Samuel Fels came up short against Kensington two weeks ago and fell 38-27. Samuel Fels was down 37-17 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Roxborough's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for Samuel Fels, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Roxborough ended up a good deal behind Samuel Fels in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, losing 53-36. Can Roxborough avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
